YOUNG SOCIAL INNOVATORS
Young Social Innovators (YSI) is a dynamic not for profit education
charity.
Thousands of young people volunteer and take on the YSI Challenge each
year to tackle a social issue that they feel passionately about. To
support this, we provide a busy schedule of programmes for young
people and educators as well as organising regional and national
events every year.
With support from our funders, Tomar Trust and the Department of
Education Dormant Accounts Fund, YSI is targeting regions across
Ireland in a new initiative which will enable increasing numbers of
young people and schools, to engage in youth-led social innovation in
local areas. In these regions, literally thousands more young people
will be supported to turn their ideas into action.
This is an exciting initiative, which promises to have real impact on
both young people?s education while empowering local populations to
address the many challenges facing them in a fast-changing world.
